General information Our general practitioners Dr. Judith Hertel and Dr. Eva Jonkman offer reliable and personal medical care for all ages. Our team also includes four medical assistants, a psychologist and a general practitioner in training, Dr Anne Schrama. All staff members speak both Dutch and English. In addition, Dr. Hertel is fluent in German. We understand the medical system in the Netherlands might differ from that of your country of origin, and we are happy to assist you with any questions you may encounter.
Our practice is situated in Medical Center ‘de Vaart’ at the Irene Vorrinkplein. If your medical condition asks for additional diagnostic tests, many of these can be performed on the ground floor of our building. These include: blood analysis, EKG, echocardiography and lungfunction tests. Furthermore, Medical Center de Vaart offers consultations with a specialized diabetes physician assistant and a dietitian. We advise you to activate your online medical record MijnGezondheid.Net and the corresponding App MedGemak. This allows you to: directly communicate with our GP’s through e-consultation, sent photos and order repeat prescriptions. Please note: due to high demand, it is occasionally not possible to send an e-consult message. If this occurs, we kindly ask you to try again the following day.

Opening hours Office hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Online consultations will be answered within 72 hours During evenings, nights and weekends, GP-care is clustered in a communal health center: ‘De Huisartsenpost’. This center is open on weekdays from 5:00 PM till 8.00 AM, during weekends, and on official holidays.
